Dr. Peterman attended Rice University in Houston, where he received his undergraduate degree in Biology. He received his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He completed his Fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology also at Baylor University Medical Center. Dr. Peterman is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Vascular Medicine, and Endovascular Medicine.
In addition to general and interventional cardiology, he has a particular interest in vascular medicine and peripheral vascular intervention. He is also trained in echocardiography, coronary CT angiography, and nuclear cardiology. He has been Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services at Texas Health Presbyterian Plano since 2009 and is currently also serving as President of the Medical Staff there. He and his wife Dana have seven children.
