Alisa Thamwiwat, MD, FACC, is an experienced, board-certified interventional cardiologist at HeartPlace in Southlake, Bedford, and Burleson, Texas. She holds board certifications in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine.

Dr. Thamwiwat was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at Arlington and completed medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas.

She completed her residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and fellowships in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease at the same institution. 

After her training, Dr. Thamwiwat returned home to the Dallas-Fort Worth area to specialize in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. She maintains her advanced credentials with continuing education to stay up to date with the latest advances in cardiology. 

Dr. Thamwiwat is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, American College of Cardiology, and the American Medical Association. She has published numerous research studies in prestigious medical journals.
