Dr. Overbeck also completed cardiovascular testing at the Michael Johnson Performance center for competitive athletes who are entering the NFL Combine.
He attended UT Southwestern Medical School followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. A cardiology fellowship was completed at Baylor Dallas. Dr. Overbeck is a native Dallasite and attended Jesuit College Preparatory followed by Texas A&M. He began his cardiology practice in Irving/Las Colinas in 1989. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Overbeck has a special interest in preventive cardiology and management of cardiovascular risk factors as well as advanced screening for heart disease. Over the last 20 years as a vascular specialist he has incorporated treatment of varicose veins disease and is highly skilled in radiofrequency ablation and phlebectomy. He was one of the first cardiologists in North Texas to develop office-based vein treatments and to date has logged over 3,500 radiofrequency ablations.
Dr. Overbeck is married with three adult children. He enjoys travel, fishing, hunting and boating.
